In the United States, preeclampsia (PreE) affects 5-7% of all pregnancies, yet represents 15% of all maternal-fetal morbidity and mortality. PreE causes fetal growth restriction, oligohydramnios, fetal death, and maternal seizures, stroke, cerebrovascular hemorrhage and death.
