OBJECTIVE: To analyze the genotypes of intraspecies of common mycobacteria. METHODS: The genotypes of 94 strains of mycobacteria from DSMZ, as compared with 12 reference strains, were studied by 16S-23S rRNA internal transcription space (ITS) sequence analysis.
