Different types of inflammatory cells in healthy major and minor salivary glands (SG), including those in labial and palatal non-autoimmune sialadenitis, were quantified immunohistochemically. Plasma cells, mainly IgA type predominated in all SG types, with the smallest number seen in the palatal glands.
