In this study, we determined the accuracy of phenotypic tests (cefoxitin agar dilution, 30 microg-cefoxitin and 1 microg-oxacillin disks) to detect the oxacillin resistance/mecA gene among coagulase-negative staphylococci (CoNS) isolates.
