Clinical examinations and mutational analyses were carried out in three patients of a Japanese familial hemiplegic migraine (FHM) pedigree. Each affected member demonstrated a broad clinical spectrum that included hemiplegic migraine with progressive cerebellar ataxia, migraine without aura, and episodic ataxia.
