OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of a novel LMNA gene mutation E82K found in a Chinese family with dilated cardiomyopathy on cell cycle of HEK293 cells. METHODS: (1) Human wild type full-length LMNA gene cDNA was subcloned into eukaryotic expression vector pTracer-CMV and point mutation was introduced into the cDNA.
