INTRODUCTION: Gaucher's disease (GD), the most prevalent inherited lysosomal storage disorder, is caused by deficient glucocerebrosidase activity. The resulting accumulation of glucocerebrosides in lysosomes of macrophages leads to hepatosplenomegaly, anemia, thrombocytopenia, and various bone manifestations.
