The partial sequences of 16S rRNA from Mycoplasma bovis and M. agalactiae were determined by dideoxynucleotide sequencing using reverse transcriptase. Two oligonucleotides complementary to different evolutionary variable regions of 16S rRNA from these two species were synthesized.
