Nine moderately to highly informative short tandem repeat polymorphisms were assigned to chromosome 14 using somatic cell hybrids and were mapped using linkage analysis. The nine markers formed a continuous linkage map covering almost the entire long arm from 14q11.2 to q32. The markers filled a large gap within previously reported linkage maps for this chromosome.
