Germline mutations in Fumarate Hydratase (FH) cause the development of leiomyomas and leiomyosarcomas in the syndromes Multiple Cutaneous and Uterine Leiomyomata (MCUL1) and Hereditary Leiomyomatosis and Renal Cell Cancer (HLRCC).
