Dihydrolipoamide dehydrogenase (E3) deficiency with a clinical phenotype and genotype (Gly194Cys homozygous) previously identified only in Ashkenazi Jewish patients, was diagnosed in two Palestinian Arab siblings and two unrelated Ashkenazi Jewish patients.
