An isozyme of acid phosphatase-1, acid phosphatase-1(1), was purified from the leaves of tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum) to homogeneity and characterized. The purified enzyme was homogeneous on polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis with or without sodium dodecyl sulfate.
