Approximately 5% of cutaneous squamous cell carcinomas in situ (SCCIS) have a nested pattern, referred to as pagetoid SCCIS, or pagetoid Bowen's disease. This growth pattern may simulate extramammary Paget's disease (EPD) when the external genitalia are involved.
