Pseudomonas aeruginosa strains deficient in the genes for cytochrome c1, a subunit of the cytochrome bc1 complex, or the tetraheme membrane protein NapC, which is similar to NirT of Pseudomonas stutzeri, were constructed and their growth was investigated.
