The role of apolipoproteinE (apoE) phenotypes in modulating the plasma lipid and lipoprotein levels was studied in a group of NIDDM patients and healthy individuals residing in Mumbai. The apoE phenotype frequencies were similar in the diabetic and healthy persons.
