A total of 401 enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli (EHEC) O157:H7 isolates from two experimentally infected calves were analyzed using molecular biological methods. Genetic differences detected by pulsed-field gel electrophoresis were observed between the inoculated and recovered strains as early as 1 day post inoculation.
