OBJECTIVE: To Study whether the mutation of deletion for glutathione S-transferase M1 (GSTM1) gene occurred during the development of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). METHODS: The genotypes of GSTM1 of 46 pairs of HCC tissue and the noncancerous liver tissue were detected by polymerase chain reaction (PCR).
