Staphylococcus aureus isolates from foodborne outbreaks were screened for the presence of icaAD, icaBC, clfB, clfA, fnbA, fnbB, ebpS, eno, fib, sasG, sasC, bbp, bap and cna genes that encode microbial surface components recognizing adhesive matrix molecules.
