In Rhizobium meliloti (Sinorhizobium meliloti) cultures, the endo-1, 3-1,4-beta-glycanases ExoK and ExsH depolymerize nascent high-molecular-weight (HMW) succinoglycan to yield low-molecular-weight (LMW) succinoglycan.
