Prenatal sonographic diagnosis of conjoined twins in the first trimester: two case reports

Abstract Conjoined twins are a rare occurrence. We present two cases of conjoined twins diagnosed by ultrasound examination at 8 and 13 weeks' gestation, respectively. These cases demonstrated the possibility of making an accurate diagnosis of conjoined twins and delineating the extent of organ sharing in the first trimester.
