BACKGROUND/AIMS: To evaluate the clinical, biochemical and histological implications of a concomitant HGV infection in "HCV-related" chronic liver disease. METHODS: Eighty-three HCV-RNA positive patients with chronic liver disease were tested for GBV-C/HGV coinfection by heminested PCR.
