Mitochondrial DNA restriction maps for 12 restriction enzymes of four species of muntjacs--Indian muntjac (M. muntjak), Gongshan muntjac (M. gongshanensis), black muntjac (M. crinifrons), and Chinese muntjac (M. reevesi)--were compared to estimate the phylogenetic relationships among them.
