The allele frequencies for the YNZ22 locus were determined in a Japanese population sample (n = 164) using the polymerase chain reaction (PCR). We observed 10 alleles and 39 genotypes. Allele distributions in our data showed a different pattern from those reported in the literature for European Caucasians. No deviation from Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium was found.
