The distributions of subtypes of three serum proteins--alpha 1-antitrypsin, group-specific component and transferrin revealed by isoelectric focusing among Russian inhabitants of the Tomsk rural region are presented. Allele frequencies at the alpha 1-antitrypsin locus are as follows: M1--0.8450; M2--0.1125; M3--0.0350, the frequency of rare alleles being 0.0075.
