Nostoc sp. strain ATCC 29133 (PCC 73102; Nostoc 29133) is a symbiotically-competent, facultatively heterotrophic, diazotrophic cyanobacterium with the capacity to differentiate specialized cells such as heterocysts, akinetes and hormogonial filaments.
