Hereditary multiple exostoses (EXT; MIM 133700) is an autosomal dominant condition characterized by growth of multiple benign cartilage-capped tumors. EXT greatly increases the relative risk to develop chondrosarcoma, although most chondrosarcomas are sporadic.
