MAIN CONCLUSION: S. sclerotiorum virulence is mediated by oxalic acid-induced redox imbalance. Resistant Brassica genotypes sustain antioxidant capacity and NPR1-dependent systemic acquired resistance, unlike susceptible genotypes showing transient defense responses.
