A pathogenic fungus was isolated from unhatched egg masses of Spodoptera litura (S. litura). The pathogen was identified as Aspergillus ochraceus based on morphological characterization and molecular analyses of the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) region and the β-tubulin gene.
