Rhabdomyolysis can be due to mitochondrial myopathy, but mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) pathogenic variants are often overlooked in standard genetic panels. We report a 41-year-old woman with recurrent rhabdomyolysis due to a novel MT-CO3 variant.
