Cellular auxin (indole-3-acetic acid, IAA) levels are coordinately regulated by IAA biosynthesis and inactivation. IAA is synthesized through sequential reactions by two enzymes, TAA1 and YUCCA, in a linear indole-3-pyruvic acid (IPA) pathway.
