Nuclear pore complexes (NPCs) regulate nucleocytoplasmic transport and are anchored in the nuclear envelope by the transmembrane nucleoporin NDC1. NDC1 is essential for post-mitotic NPC assembly and the recruitment of ALADIN to the nuclear envelope.
