Mangrove derived actinomycetes are a rich reservoir of bioactive natural products and play important roles in pharmaceutical chemistry. In a screen of actinomycetes from mangrove rhizosphere sedimental environments, the isolated strain Streptomyces sp. SCSIO 40068 displayed strong antibacterial activity.
