Abstract excerpt
The mosquito, Aedes aegypti, is highly anthropophilic and transmits debilitating arboviruses within human populations and between humans and non-human primates. Female mosquitoes are attracted to sources of blood by responding to odor plumes that are emitted by their preferred hosts.
