Gilthead sea bream (Sparus aurata) is considered an asymptomatic carrier for the nodavirus genotype affecting European sea bass (Dicentrarchus labrax), RGNNV. Only larvae and juveniles of sea bream have been found to be susceptible to the RGNNV/SJNNV reassortant.
