The prevalent variants of Cryptococcus neoformans, and other Cryptococcus species in pigeon excreta in Western Region of Saudi Arabia were studied. Ninety pigeon dropping samples were plated directly on Niger seed agar, and suspected colonies were sequenced using Illumina MiSeq.
