Transgenic cotton expressing Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) cry1Ac and cry2Ab toxin genes is widely cultivated to manage bollworm complex in India. Cotton bollworm Helicoverpa armigera (Hübner) is one of the most serious of this complex.
