PURPOSE: To identify the pathogenic mutation in PMFBP1 leading to acephalic spermatozoa syndrome. METHODS: Sanger sequencing was used to screen for mutations in the known pathogenic genes SUN5 and PMFBP1 in a patient with acephalic spermatozoa syndrome.
