The prognosis of patients with relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia (R/R AML) is dismal with salvage standard approaches, and mutations of FMS-like tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3) gene, occurring in around 30% of AML patients may confer even poorer outcomes.
