Primary haemochromatosis (PH) is a genetic disorder of iron metabolism with multiorgan involvement due to mutations in HFE or more rarely haemojuvelin (HJV) gene. Cardiac involvement results in dilated cardiomyopathy with reduced ejection fraction and progressive heart failure.
