Familial thyroid cancers of follicular origin are rare and include syndromic and non-syndromic tumours. In familial adenomatous polyposis, the prevalence of papillary thyroid cancer is 2-12% and in 20-40% of cases it is a cribriform-morular papillary thyroid carcinoma.
