Marek's disease (MD) is a lymphoproliferative disease of domestic chickens caused by a cell-associated oncogenic alpha-herpesvirus, Marek's disease virus (MDV). Clinical signs of MD include bursal/thymic atrophy, neurologic disorders, and T cell lymphomas.
