Pyruvate orthophosphate dikinase (PPDK) is a component of glycolysis to mediate endosperm energy charge by adjusting the ratio of ATP to ADP and AMP that proposed to balance the flow of carbon into starch, protein, fatty acid and amino acid biosynthesis.
