BACKGROUND: Noninvasive follicular thyroid neoplasm with papillary-like nuclear features (NIFTP) is an indolent thyroid tumor previously known as noninvasive subtype of encapsulated follicular variant of papillary thyroid carcinoma (EFVPTC).
