Streptococcus pneumoniae is an important human pathogen causing various diseases. In this study, S. pneumoniae from invasive (IPD) and noninvasive pneumococcal disease (NIPD) were studied by serotype and multilocus sequence typing (MLST) for population structure characteristics.
