Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis is a pathogen classified into two biovars: C. pseudotuberculosis biovar ovis, the etiologic agent of caseous lymphadenitis and C. pseudotuberculosis biovar equi, which causes ulcerative lymphangitis.
