In this paper, we examine the genetic diversity, population structure and demographic history of Acrossocheilus yunnanensis inferred from four mitochondrial gene sequences. Twenty-two haplotypes were identified for A. yunnanensis. The total haplotype and nucleotide diversities of A. yunnanensis are 0.9206 and 0.024654, respectively.
