Onychostoma gerlachi, which belongs to the genus Onychostoma (Cypriniformes, Cyprinidae), is an economic fish that inhabits the flowing freshwater in south of China. The complete mitochondrial genome of O. gerlachi was determined to be 16,601 bp long circular molecule with a typical gene arrangement of vertebrate mitochondrial DNA.
