Generalized phenotypic variance (p), genetic variance (g), heritability (h2) and genetic correlation coefficient (p) are defined as follows. (formula, see text) The profile analysis of variation, covariation of multiple traits and correlation between trait sets can be made by using the parameters above. Two examples about cotton and alfalfa are given to explain these new parameters' estimation and application.
