We report a comprehensive multi-year study of thermophilic fungi at the Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge in central New Mexico. Recovery of thermophilic fungi from soils showed seasonal fluctuations, with greater abundance correlating with spring and summer precipitation peaks.
