In Chlamydomonas reinhardtii, glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) consists of four GapA subunits. This A4 GAPDH is not autonomously regulated, as the regulatory cysteine residues present on GapB subunits are missing in GapA subunits.
